In 2000, LOUIS KAROL foresaw the potential of providing an architectural and engineering outsourcing service to the construction industry in the United Kingdom. In view of the high production costs in the United Kingdom most British firms wish to limit the size of their companies and not expose themselves to increased running costs.

Since 2000, LOUIS KAROL has provided outsourcing services

for twelve British architectural and engineering practices producing detail design, working drawings and production information on some twenty-six projects in the United Kingdom. LOUIS KAROL has fully committed itself to outsourcing with dedicated partners and staff, and outsourcing has become an integral part of the core business of the practice.

We have developed a great knowledge base of U.K. building regulations, parts A – N, and British building standards, architectural practice, and materials. As such we are able

to provide specification writing as part of our service

LOUIS KAROL is able to take over an architectural project after RIBA work stage C (Outline Proposals) and provide Stages D – G (Detailed design proposals to tender documentation). In addition, LOUIS KAROL will also write NBS specifications. For engineering, LOUIS KAROL will carry out elemental design and reinforcing schedules.
